Rambling Thoughts on Training, Life

93 days to go.

I'm tired but doing well. My mental slump seems to be ending – I was really struggling psychologically for a few weeks but I'm pulling out of it now. Training-wise, I've done 4 marathon (or longer) distances in the past 2 months, and I'm bumping the mileage up again this week. On Monday I plan on rowing 55 km, and am a bit nervous because I know how painful it's going to be. But it's good. It's really good to be here.

If you've been following my blog for awhile, you've probably noticed that my posting frequency has decreased a bit in the past month. Normally, I was posting new blog entries twice a week, but lately that has been reduced to every 5 or 6 days. This is because I'm tired and still carrying on a normal life (work, family, child, life stuff). However, it's still important to keep you updated on my progress, so I will commit to a minimum of a new posting at least once per week.

If you look at the menu bar at the top of the page, I've added an Events button – the Ottawa Comedy night details are on the page that is accessed by clicking that button. If other events take place, they will also be added to the Events page.

I've removed the Training Plan page for now, since I've been changing the plan every week according to how I'm feeling. So for now, I'll keep it off-line to avoid confusing anyone reading it, including myself :)

There are still things on my to-do list that I haven't taken care of yet, in terms of logistics for the event and also getting more exposure for the fundraising. But I'm plugging away – or more like pecking away – at it bit by bit.

It will all come together. How do I know? It's hard to describe, but I've never felt more right about doing something. This was in my DNA.
